Living Truth

  • Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 Divine throne vision
  • Revelation 1:4b-8 The alpha and the omega
  • John 18:33-37 Jesus before Pilate

Living Truth

The Gift of Life

  • 1 Kings 17:8-16 Elijah gives life to a widow
  • Psalm 146
  • Mark 12:38-44 The widows gives all she has

Sermon:

A Gift of Life
Jesus points to a poor widow who gives all she has. Today, we point, in our remembrance, to those who gave all they had, even their lives. It is in the giving of life that life is fulfilled; that one life becomes much more than one life: a gift of life, of peace and hope, to the world. Christ gave his life, and we seek to dedicate our lives to noble purposes that will make our lives much more than our life.

I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere without you!

Mark 12:28-34 Which commandment is the first of all
Psalm 146 I'll praise my Maker while I've breath
Ruth 1:1-18 Ruth chooses to go with Naomi.

Today we hear the story of Ruth and Naomi. This is a story of loyalty, friendship, and fidelity that serve to bind a family together. This story reminds us that family comes in many forms and one form is our Robertson-Wesley family. There is nothing typical about our family; in fact we can be described as unique, diverse, and unusual. How will this story inspire us to support one another and our community as we live together as family
