Psalm 41: 7-10 Matt 16:24-17:8 . Passion prediction, bearing the cross, transfiguration

In the month of February we will be using best picture Oscar Nominees to explore theology and scripture. Moonlight is a powerful movie about identity and being true to oneself. The call of discipleship requires risk and sacrifice. • Matt 15:1-20  Tradition of the Elders and things that defile

In the month of February we will be using best picture Oscar Nominees to explore theology and scripture. This inspiring movie demonstrates how following our passion, and taking risks can cross gender and race lines and inspires and transforms the people who come after us. As people of God, and as followers of Christ we need to ask ourselves the question “Why are we doing this? Why are we following Jesus and living a faithful life? When we get to the heart of our motivation we will reveal our true treasure.
